Welcome to Amplades Vacation Suites!! Almplades stands for sisters in the Cretan dialect. Why did we name our properties Amplades? We are three sisters that came together to save and preserve an old historic property and at the same time offer a traditional, authentic Cretan experience to our children, friends and guests from all over the world. A place where you can make unforgettable memories right here, in our mythical place of birth, the majestic Greek Island of Crete. We have created three unique, autonomous suites, hidden away, like a gem, in the small mountainous village of Galipe, only 20 minutes from the airport of Heraklion, and just far enough from the loud touristy areas, so that you are able to taste the real Cretan life that many never get to experience, but still be close enough to main attractions and captivating beaches. Our traditional suites give you a glimpse into the noble past of Cretan Character, while they offer all the comforts of today’s world. Each suite can sleep up to 4 people and is equiped with kitchenette, oudoor Barbecue area, Wi-Fi, air-condition, fire place or wood burning stove, washer, smart tv and a cozy patio to enjoy a breath of fresh mountain air that clears mind and soul! Our Greek culture, especially here in Crete, is all about the traditions of Hospitality or Philoxenia as we say here!
